Satish Mistry has a diverse work experience starting in 2002. Satish began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Manchester, where they worked from June 2002 to April 2003. After that, they pursued their PhD and was a PhD student in the Neurophysiology Research Team from April 2003 to August 2006. Following the completion of their PhD, Satish became a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, specializing in developing neurostimulation tools for brain injury patients. Satish worked in this role from September 2006 onwards.
In 2012, Satish joined Phagenesis Ltd as a Senior Clinical Research Associate. In this position, they monitored a Phase II RCT of Phagenyx devices in acute dysphagic stroke patients and managed a pilot feasibility study of the devices in chronically dysphagic patients with Parkinson's and Stroke. After serving as a Senior Clinical Research Associate for two years, Satish advanced to the role of Clinical Research Project Manager at Phagenesis Ltd in September 2014. As a Project Manager, they were responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring multiple-parallel European clinical trials for a medical device aimed at treating neurogenic dysphagia. Satish managed various stakeholders, supervised clinical employees and consultants, and ensured compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines.
Most recently, Satish Mistry was promoted to the position of Head of Clinical Operations at Phagenesis Ltd in April 2021. As the Head of Clinical Operations, they continue to oversee clinical trials and maintains direct interfaces with key opinion leaders, regulatory bodies, and healthcare institutions.
Satish Mistry began their education in 1998 at the University of Liverpool, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology. Satish completed their undergraduate studies in 2001. Following this, from 2002 to 2006, Mistry attended The University of Manchester, where they pursued a PhD in Human Neurophysiology.
