Vasilis Kontonis currently serves as the Manager of Statistical Data Sciences at Pfizer, beginning in October 2024. Prior to this role, Vasilis held positions at Skroutz as Business Intelligence Lead and Senior Business Intelligence Analyst from May 2020 to September 2024, and at Kaizen Gaming as Data Scientist between October 2017 and April 2020, focusing on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. Vasilis began a career in data analysis at IRI as Senior Statistical Modeling Specialist from January 2016 to September 2017 and initially worked as a Data Analyst at e-Travel S.A. from March 2015 to December 2015. Vasilis's expertise includes developing machine and deep learning algorithms, advanced SQL querying, and data analysis across various platforms and tools. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Piraeus, a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics from the University of the Aegean, and ongoing studies in Data Science and Data Engineering through Udacity. Additionally, Vasilis completed an Executive Education program in Business Analytics at Cambridge Judge Business School.
