Lakshmi Parasuraman has work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with notable positions at Pfizer, GSK, and Merck. They started working at Merck in 2010 as an Associate Product Marketing Manager, where they stayed until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Lakshmi worked at GSK as a Marketing Manager. In 2018, they joined Pfizer, initially working as the Head of Marketing Cardiovascular, and later taking on the roles of Head of Marketing Oncology and Portfolio Marketing Lead for Pfizer Emerging Markets.

Lakshmi Parasuraman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce SION(W) (2005-2008). Lakshmi also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Patent Law and practices from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) (2008-2009), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) (2008-2010). Additionally, they obtained a Patent Agent certification from the Patent office India in 2013, specializing in Intellectual Property Law.
