Ã…ste Weider has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Ã…ste is currently the Head of Group Accounting at Pexip, leading the accounting, reporting, and internal control functions. Ã…ste is responsible for developing the department and ensuring the quality of financial information.

Prior to their current role, Ã…ste worked at Telenor as the Head of Accounting and Reporting, where they oversaw financial reporting and held the position of Fagansvarlig. Ã…ste also worked at Santander Consumer Bank AS as a Financial Analyst in Securitisation, where they were responsible for understanding and documenting the securitization process and overseeing hedge accounting.

Åste also has experience working at PwC as a Senior Associate and at Ringnes AS as a Medarbeider in the Økonomiavdelingen, where they were responsible for managing customer receivables and credit limits.

Their earlier education includes a Diplomøkonom degree in Økonomi og administrasjon from BI Norwegian Business School, which they achieved from 2000 to 2003.
