David Sturt is an experienced energy industry professional currently serving as a Founding Shareholder at DRD Energy America LLC since October 2022 and as Chairman and CEO of PetroNeft Resources plc since March 2019. Previously, David held the position of SVP Technical at Azimuth from April 2012 to March 2019 and was a Founding Partner at Vistatex Energy LLC from August 2010 to August 2014, where successful management led to a profitable sale of the company. Additional roles include Head of Upstream at Ukrnafta, Founding CEO and later COO of Exillon Energy PLC from March 2006 to June 2010, Director of G&G at PetroKazakhstan, and Senior Staff Geophysicist at Hess Corporation from August 1994 to July 2003.
