Muhammad Shamshad started their work experience in 2013 as an intern in the Overseas Exploration Department of Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd. in Pakistan. In 2014, they joined Petrolink as a Realtime Data Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Muhammad Shamshad completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of the Punjab. Muhammad attended the university from 2007 to 2012. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Geology/Earth Science from the same institution. Muhammad Shamshad obtained their MPhil degree from the University of the Punjab between 2012 and 2014.
