David Held

Associate Vice President, Creative at Peter Thomas Roth

David Held has a diverse work experience in the creative design field. David is currently employed at Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care as an Associate Vice President, Creative. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Director, 360° Creative & Design at the same company. David joined Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care as a Design Director in 2018 and has been working there since.

Before joining Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care, David worked as a Freelance Design Consultant starting from 2015. As a Senior Designer/Art Director, they provided design consultancy services for various clients including TPR Holdings, HausUrban, Lloyd + Co, Adidas, Porsche, Pepsi, Narciso Rodriguez fragrances, Aramis fragrances, and Bottega Veneta. David'sresponsibilities included primary and secondary packaging design, design of in-store environments for merchandising units and pop-ups, and providing art direction and concepts for advertising and promotions.

Prior to their freelance work, David served as a Freelance Art Director at Lloyd&Co. from 2015 to 2018, where they focused on packaging and advertising projects. Before that, they worked at Fusion Brands Inc as a Senior Designer/Art Director from 2014 to 2015. In this role, they provided art direction, design, and photo shoot coordination for CLEAN Fragrances and Fusion Beauty Cosmetics.

David's work experience also includes a role at Coty Prestige from 2011 to 2014 as a Packaging/Branding Designer for Calvin Klein Fragrances. David was responsible for design and execution of primary and secondary packaging, as well as creative support materials for Calvin Klein and CKOne global fragrances. Additionally, they assisted in creative projects from concept to final execution and provided art direction for still life photography.

In 2010, David worked as a Packaging/Branding Designer on a contract basis at Webb deVlam. David'sresponsibilities included assisting in design for primary and secondary packaging, working on collaborative solutions with industrial designers, and ensuring color and manufacturing approval standards were met for various client brands.

Before entering the design industry, David gained experience as a Tour Guide/Resident Assistant and Peer Mentor at Columbia College Chicago from 2007 to 2010. David also interned as a Design Intern at Hearst Magazines in 2009, specifically at Harper's Bazaar, where they assisted the art department in managing art flow and contributed to the creation of layouts for published issues.

David Held attended Chaska High School, although the specific years are not provided. After completing high school, they pursued higher education at Columbia College Chicago from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Graphic Design and Art Direction.
