Andrea Gillespie is an experienced bioinformatician currently working at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre since September 2021. Prior to this role, Andrea held the position of Cancer Bioinformatician at The Institute of Cancer Research from August 2018 to September 2021. Andrea's career includes valuable experience as a Research Affiliate and Bioinformatics Intern at Mayo Clinic (August 2016 - May 2018) and as a Senior Consultant at MBA ThinkTank (May 2013 - August 2016). Earlier professional experience includes teaching science at Joseph Upatham School (October 2011 - September 2012) and serving various roles at Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona from July 2006 to October 2011. Andrea holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology, both from Arizona State University.
