Cody Nelson has extensive experience in merchandising and product development within the retail sector, currently serving as Senior Director of Merchandising at Petco since July 2015. Nelson has held various leadership positions at Petco, driving significant initiatives such as the execution of the $1.3 billion Owned Brand business and leading efforts to enhance pet nutrition standards. Prior to Petco, Nelson worked at Target from April 2011 to May 2015, where responsibilities included optimizing assortment strategies and developing omni-channel processes that positively impacted sales and inventory management. Earlier experience includes marketing roles at Live Nation. Cody Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in Marketing and Biology from Purdue University and a similar degree from Copenhagen Business School.
