Dave Fichera has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the education sector. Dave most recently served as the Director of Learning & Innovation Technology at Petaluma City Schools starting from July 2018. Prior to that, they were the School Principal at Hillcrest Middle School from August 2017 to July 2018. Before their time as a principal, Dave worked as the Communications Coordinator at Petaluma City Schools from July 2016 to August 2017. Dave also served as the School Principal at Hillcrest Middle School from July 2011 to July 2016. Additionally, Dave was an Adjunct Faculty member at Sonoma State University from August 2012 to June 2015. Dave started their career as a Teacher at Gravenstein Union School District from August 2006 to June 2011. Lastly, Dave worked as an Information Technology Consultant at Sonoma State University from March 2004 to August 2006.

Dave Fichera completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Technology at Sonoma State University from 1999 to 2001. Dave then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on General Education, from Sonoma State University from 2013 to 2015.
