Mahmood Hamsho has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Mahmood started their career in 2014 as a Research Assistant at the Materials Research Lab at Brooklyn College, where they conducted research on fuel cell electrolytes. In 2016, they worked as a Monitoring Associate at Heat Watch, where they evaluated building energy data and conducted energy analysis. In 2018, Mahmood became a Co-Founder of RoadMap, and simultaneously worked as a Data Science Intern at Intertrust Technologies Corporation, developing models for wind turbine energy production forecasting and anomaly detection. In 2019, they joined Delta Analytics as a Data Science Fellow and later became a Data Science Project Lead. At Delta Analytics, they worked on various data science projects. In the same year, Mahmood also worked as a Researcher at the Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity. In 2019, they started working at Wells Fargo as a Data Scientist, where they designed and built machine learning solutions for fraud detection and performed risk assessment of third-party vendor models. In 2021, they joined NSIN - National Security Innovation Network as a Machine Learning Engineer, working on a project with the Department of Defense. Currently, Mahmood is employed at Petal as a Data Scientist, where they hold the position of Senior Data Scientist.
Mahmood Hamsho obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Brooklyn College - CUNY. Mahmood completed this degree from 2011 to 2015. Later, in 2017, they enrolled at UC Berkeley School of Information to pursue a Master's degree in Information Management and Systems. As of now, there is no specific end year mentioned for their master's program at UC Berkeley, indicating that they might still be studying or has not yet completed the program.
