Emanuel Petricoin has a long and varied career in the medical field. Emanuel began their career as a Senior Investigator at the FDA in 1993. In 2005, they became a Professor at George Mason University. In 2007, they became a Consultant and Board of Directors member at Ceres Nanosciences, Inc. In 2012, they became the Chief Scientific Officer at Perthera. In 2018, they became a Consultant and Chair of the Science Advisory Board at Theralink Technologies, Inc.
Emanuel Petricoin obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Microbiology from the University of Maryland in 1985, following their enrollment in 1982. Emanuel then went on to pursue a PhD in Microbiology from the same university, which they completed in 1990.
