Roel L has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Roel began their career in 1986 as a Political and Personal Assistant to a member of parliament. Roel then transitioned to the private sector, working as the Head of Sales Back Office and Executive Secretary at Machinefabriek Stramproy B.V. from 1990 to 1996. Roel L then moved on to Stramproy Beheer B.V./MF Stramproy B.V./Stramproy Projects & Systems B.V. where they served as an Executive Secretary from 1996 to 2004. Following this, they worked at Stramproy Group B.V./Stramproy Contracting B.V. as a Contracting Manager from 2004 to 2011. Roel L then joined Horizon BioEnergy Group as a Contracting Manager from 2011 to 2013. Currently, they are employed at Perpetual Next as a Contracts Manager, a position they have held since 2013.

Roel L attended Serviam from 1978 to 1984, where they obtained a Gymnasium / Grammar School degree. Afterwards, they pursued higher education at Nyenrode Business University for a year, from 1984 to 1985. Roel then went on to study at Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences for three years, from 1985 to 1988.
