Ming Qi is the Founder/CEO of Phase Two Chemicals. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tennessee from 2014-2016. From 2009-2014, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where they studied organo-metallic catalyst used in aqueous air electrode. Ming discovered and further studied a new type of oxygen electrochemical reaction, and proposed two innovative applications - a high efficiency hydrogen peroxide electrolyzer and aqueous reversible air battery.
Ming Qi attended Dalian University of Technology from 2005 to 2009 and earned a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering. Ming then attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2009 to 2013 and obtained a Phd in Chemical Engineering.
