Yolanda De-Abreu is a seasoned professional in the field of materials engineering, specializing in corrosion and failure analysis. Currently serving as a Corporate Scientist at ChampionX Artificial Lift since January 2019, Yolanda has established a failure analysis laboratory and conducted numerous investigations related to metallurgical failures, corrosion, and coatings. Prior roles include serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Nalco Champion, where Yolanda focused on evaluating the compatibility of chemical products with various metallurgies and contributed to the development of electrochemical criteria. Yolanda has also been a Lecturer at the University of Houston, teaching courses on material and corrosion for subsea engineering. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Toulouse INP and experience as a Professor at Universidad Simón BolÃvar, Yolanda's expertise spans both industrial applications and academic instruction.
