Norman Byrne currently serves as the Vice President of Research, Development & Engineering at ChampionX, leading a global team focused on innovative chemical solutions and customer support since October 2018. Prior to this role, Byrne held several positions at Dow, including Texas Operations R&D Site Leader and Senior R&D Director for the Oil, Gas & Mining sector, where strategic research portfolios were developed. With earlier experience as Global R&D Manager at NALCO ENERGY SERVICES LIMITED and a Group Leader at Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals, Byrne has consistently driven technical innovation and project management. Norman Byrne holds a PhD, an MS, and a BS in Organic Chemistry from Rice University.
