Andy Shawber is a Senior Innovation Counsel at Perkins Coie LLP, specializing in technology innovation within the Emerging Company and Venture Capital group since March 2020. Prior to this role, Andy served as a Partner at Summit Law Group from June 2012 to March 2020, focusing on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital. Earlier experience includes an Associate Attorney position at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where Andy worked on significant transactions in venture capital and mergers and acquisitions from September 2008 to June 2012. Andy began the legal career as a Summer Associate at Keesal, Young & Logan and has contributed to research at UCLA School of Law. Educational credentials include a JD in Business Law and Policy from UCLA, complemented by degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington.
