Rakesh Kumar has extensive work experience in the engineering field, starting as an Electrical Engineer at Mohan Fibre Products Ltd in 2003. Rakesh then moved to Vardhman Polytex Limited as a Senior Electrical Engineer in 2005. From 2006 onwards, they joined Perfetti Van Melle, where they held various roles such as Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Associate Head, Senior Project Manager, and Regional Engineering Projects Director. Their most recent role was as the Sr. Project Engineering Director for the USA. Throughout their career, they have managed greenfield and brownfield projects, capacity enhancement projects, process, and utilities.

Rakesh Kumar completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kurukshetra University in 2003. Rakesh further pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Electrical energy conservation and energy audit from Anamalai University in 2006.
