Russ Maynard has extensive experience in the CNC machine tools industry. Russ started their career in 1983 by founding High Technology Machines, Inc. (HTM), where they focused on selling new CNC machine tools. HTM quickly became the top distributor in North America and expanded its operations to include Arizona. Maynard served as the President of HTM until 1993.

In 1994, Maynard became the President of Ellison Machinery International (EMI), a start-up division of the Ellison Machinery Company. At EMI, they were responsible for the rebuild and retrofit of CNC machine tools and the importation of new machinery. Russ successfully led EMI's significant growth and profitability until 1999.

Maynard returned to HTM in 2001 as the President. During their tenure, HTM became a CNC machinery dealer in California and Arizona, serving industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense, energy, oil exploration, and tool & die. Maynard oversaw all aspects of the business, including sales, service, and profitability. In 2008, they transitioned to the role of Vice-President at Perfection Machinery Sales Inc. Here, they worked with manufacturing companies worldwide, assisting them in the purchase and sale of high technology CNC machine tools and other related manufacturing machinery. Maynard traveled extensively throughout North America and internationally.

In 2014, Maynard founded their own consulting firm, High Technology Machines, Inc., providing services to clients in the market evaluation of medium to large size CNC machine tools. The emphasis of their consulting work is on high-end Japanese manufactured machine tools. Maynard buys and sells these machines outright or on consignment.

Throughout their career, Maynard has demonstrated expertise in the CNC machine tools industry, strategic planning, sales, service, and profitability.

Russ Maynard earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Economics from Western Michigan University, where they studied from 1962 to 1966. Russ then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Specialized Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing Operations at Eastern Michigan University from 1967 to 1969.
