Carl Brehm has worked in various roles in the finance and consulting industry since 2009. In 2009, they worked as a Development Intern for Fundación Yaruni. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Congressional Intern for the Office of Peter Defazio U.S House of Representatives, a Legislative Research Assistant for the Passenger Vessel Association, and an Honors Paralegal for the Federal Trade Commission. In 2015, they joined Zippy Shell Incorporated as a Business Analyst and was promoted to Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. In 2018, they worked as a Management Consultant for M2 Strategy. Since 2019, they have been working as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for Perfecta, where they build complex financial models, creates detailed PowerPoints, and automates and generates financial reports.

Carl Brehm obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics; Econometrics, Environmental Economics, Economics of the Public Sector from Pomona College between 2007 and 2011. In 2018, they obtained the Agile Foundations certification from LinkedIn. In 2014, they obtained the Contracting Officer's Representative Level 1 certification from the Federal Acquisition Institute Training Application System (FAITAS).
