Plinio Ayala is the CEO and President of Per Scholas, a position held since 1998, where responsibility includes developing strategic direction for the organization, which employs 90 staff members, and creating new social venture and training opportunities. Previously, Plinio served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, managing the overall operations of a $6 million non-profit corporation and supervising a staff of 20 individuals. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Program Operations at the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (SoBRO) from 1993 to 1997, where coordination of all training activities was essential. Plinio holds a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Columbia University (1985-1986) and a Bachelor's degree in American Studies from Wesleyan University (1981-1985).
