Daniel Homer is a seasoned security professional currently serving as a Security Engineer III at Akuna Capital since October 2023, after progressing from a Security Engineer II role. Prior experience includes a position as a Blockchain Security Engineer focused on digital asset and protocol security at Coinbase from January 2022 to January 2023, where responsibilities included blockchain and smart contract auditing as well as on-chain monitoring and incident response. Daniel has also held roles in cybersecurity education at the University of Toronto and as a Security Analyst at Hydro One, specializing in cyber risk management and vendor threat assessments. Daniel began a career in security engineering at EWA-Canada, where roles spanned Security Engineer I and II. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Computer Science with a focus on Computer and Internet Security and a minor in Philosophy from Carleton University between 2012 and 2017.
