Jim Smith is an experienced professional with a diverse background in communications and the culinary arts. Currently serving as a Bridge Tender at Velociti Services since October 2021, Jim also engages as a Purveyor of cooking spices at Penzeys Spices, where meaningful conversations about spices and cooking foster connections among people. Jim's previous roles include Marketing Consultant for The Pops Orchestra, Writer for Penzeys Spices, and various editorial positions at prominent publications such as the Bradenton Herald, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and Minneapolis Star-Tribune, culminating in over a decade of leadership in sports journalism. Jim holds a B.S. in Mass Communications with a focus on Journalism, Advertising, and Photography from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
