Melissa Thompson is the Communications Director at Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) since January 2005, overseeing communication strategies encompassing branding, public relations, web presence, and social media. Responsibilities include supporting the Executive Director and Senior Management Team, managing public relations for the West Kentucky Workforce Board (WKWB), and coordinating job fair logistics. Melissa has a strong background in communication design, having produced annual reports and logos for special projects, while also acting as a brand champion in the West Kentucky region for the Kentucky Career Center. Prior roles include Scheduling Analyst at Flynn Enterprises and Staple Stock Receiving Slotter at Walmart Distribution Center. Melissa holds a Master of Science in Organizational Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Murray State University.
