Curt Knapp serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Energy Northwest and is also a board member. Holding the position of President of the Board for Pend Oreille Public Utility District since February 2001, Curt Knapp sets policies and oversees the General Manager. Additionally, Knapp is a past President of the Washington Public Utility District Association and a board member for Pacific Underwriters Risk Managers. With a long-standing commitment to public service, Knapp has been a Deputy Coroner for Pend Oreille County since January 1990 and a volunteer fireman with the City of Newport Volunteer Fire Department since February 1989, where Curt has also served as past fire chief. Knapp previously owned and operated Sherman Knapp Funeral Home from 1982 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a BA in Psychology with a focus on Industrial Psychology and a minor in Business Administration from Central Washington University, as well as a BA in Mortuary Science and Embalming from Mount Hood Community College.
