Scott has over 30 years federal contracting experience. During the last ten years of his federal career, he was the Senior Contracting Office for the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) supporting congressionally mandated work. Scott’s Federal career spanned five Federal agencies including the General Services Administration (GSA), the Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the United States Forrest Service (USFS), and the National Science Foundation. Scott’s contracting experience includes GSA fee for service contracting supporting a broad spectrum of Federal agencies with IT and professional services requirements including Desert Shield/Storm and after 9/11, part of the DOJ team building the nationwide Amber Alert System and supporting the NSF’s flagship publication Science and Engineering Indicators going from print to digital delivery.
Scott is very active in his community and local church, Brownsville Baptist Church; he is an Adjunct Professor in Business and Math and a volunteer tutor for local area students. He is also a US Navy veteran.
Scott resides outside of Memphis Tennessee with his wife, Marti and their 5 dogs.
