Shinji Angata has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Shinji is the Co-Founder of Pelicargo since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. for 16 years, holding the position of Deputy General Manager. During this time, they were involved in international commodity trading and logistics coordination, business development, and creation in metal recycling and mining. Shinji worked in Tokyo for 9 years and in Mexico for 5 years, demonstrating proficiency in Japanese, English, and Spanish. Before joining Mitsui & Co., Ltd., they had an analyst role at the National Minority Business Council from 2004 to 2005.

Shinji Angata's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management, which was obtained from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Material Science Engineering from Osaka University. Additionally, in 2003 and 2004, Shinji studied Global Business Management with a focus on International Business at the University of California, Riverside. Furthermore, they obtained the U.S.CPA certification from the AICPA in June 2009.
