Ying Shao is a highly experienced scientist with a robust background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Scientist at Pfenex Inc since October 2018, Ying has also held positions as a Scientist and Research & Development SRA at Verdezyne from 2009 to May 2018. Prior to that, Ying worked at The Dow Chemical Company as a Sr. Research Molecular Biologist from 2000 to 2009 and began a career in research as a Research Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1996 to 2000. Ying holds a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Oklahoma, obtained in 1996.
