Dr. Venkata Ravi Sankar Ummidi has a diverse work experience in various scientific and managerial roles. Dr. Venkata Ravi currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Peelon, where they lead the development of biodegradable packaging solutions for fresh produce. Prior to this, they were the Chief Executive Officer at SBiotech, an aquaculture startup focused on developing sustainable aquaculture products. Dr. Venkata Ravi also held the position of Managing Director at MicGene Lab, where they were involved in the management of the laboratory. Dr. Ummidi started their career as a Scientist in Molecular Biology at the Translational Research Institute of Molecular Sciences. Earlier on, they worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Andhra University, where they conducted research on formulating biopesticides for crop protection. Throughout their career, Dr. Ummidi has demonstrated expertise in developing innovative solutions and conducting scientific research in the fields of biotechnology and agribusiness.

Dr. Venkata Ravi Sankar Ummidi, Ph.D., holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Microbiology, Molecular biology, and Bio-pesticides from Andhra University. Dr. Venkata Ravi pursued their doctoral studies from 2011 to 2014. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Microbiology, with a focus on General Microbiology, from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Dr. Venkata Ravi completed their Master's from 2007 to 2009. In addition, Dr. Ummidi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and Chemistry, which they obtained from Andhra University between 2004 and 2007.
