Vicki Wood MCIPD, Masters has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human resources. Vicki is currently employed at Peel Ports Group as the Deputy HR Director, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, Vicki worked at Yodel (Yodel Delivery Network Ltd) as the Head of HR from 2016 to 2023. In this role, they collaborated with the Executive Team and other Directors and Heads of Department to shape the strategic direction of the company and improve business performance through effective people management. Vicki led various strategic projects focused on organizational design, culture, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement.
Before joining Yodel, Vicki worked at Alstom as the Head of HR from 2013 to 2016. Here, they provided HR support to the management team and operations on the West Coast Mainline. Vicki was responsible for activities such as organization design, training and development, recruitment, employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
From 2008 to 2012, Vicki held the position of Head of HR at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust. Vicki provided HR and organizational development services to over 240 staff members, mainly consisting of TUPE transferred staff from partner organizations in the healthcare sector.
Additionally, Vicki has worked as an HR Business Partner at Auto Trader UK from 2012 to 2013 and as an HR Advisor/HR Manager at United Utilities from 2005 to 2008. Vicki'scareer in HR started at Vertex Data Science, where they worked as an HR Assistant/HR MI Assistant/HR Advisor from 1998 to 2005.
Throughout their career, Vicki has demonstrated expertise in HR strategy development, organizational design, employee relations, talent management, and change management. Vicki holds professional membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has a Master's degree in HR management.
Vicki Wood MCIPD, Masters started their education journey at Maghull High School from 1990 to 1995. After completing high school, they pursued higher education at Liverpool Hope University. From 2010 to 2013, they earned a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Services. During the same period, they also obtained MCIPD, a degree in Human Resources Management and Services. Later on, from 2014 to 2016, they furthered their education by completing a CIPD Advanced Level 7 Employment Law program at Liverpool Hope University, specializing in Employment Law.
