Alies MacLean has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2014, they served as the Head of Customer Operations at Peecho. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2022, they worked as a Freelance Personal Assistant, Customer Happiness Manager, and Trainer for Kimpact, Peecho, and Akademia. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Office Manager at kroeskontrol, and in 2010, they worked as the Fitness Manager at HealthCity Amstelstraat en Ladiesclub.
Starting from 2009, Alies held the role of Content Manager and Office Manager at Rhinofly, where they were responsible for gathering, revising, and publishing content for a large website in the food industry. In addition, they performed administrative and secretarial tasks. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2009, they worked at the Meertens Instituut / University of Amsterdam as a Researcher in Training and later as a Project Assistant. During their time there, they also organized several major events, including serving as the Vice Chair of the organizing committee for the Sociolinguistic Symposium 17 held in Amsterdam.
In 2003, Alies worked as a Personal Assistant at Hogeschool Utrecht, and in 2002 they were an Administrative Assistant at VvAA.
Alies MacLean completed their VWO degree at Baudartius College Zutphen from 1990 to 1996. Alies went on to pursue their MSc in Language and Culture at Utrecht University from 1996 to 2001.
