Mauricio Pego is an experienced engineering manager and software engineer with a strong background in high-throughput and highly available multi-tenancy services. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer at PedidosYa since August 2018, Mauricio oversees critical services such as authentication and internal development tools. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Developer at SCHANDY Shipping, Ports & Logistics, where Mauricio designed and implemented various solutions, as well as roles at Greycon as Product Manager and Software Engineer specializing in SAP integration. Additionally, Mauricio has academic experience as a professor at Universidad ORT Uruguay and has worked as a consultant and developer at International Paper and Proyectos Ingenieria. Mauricio holds a post-graduate degree in Computer Software Engineering and a Software Engineer degree, both from Universidad ORT Uruguay.
