Maurice Shalam is a finance and business professional with extensive experience in venture capital and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Avex Capital Partners, Maurice focuses on early-stage investments across Pre Seed, Seed, and Series A funding. Additional roles include Consultant and Venture Associate at Triangle Capital Group, LLC, and various angel investments in startups such as beehiiv, Montra, Hypercard, and HoneyQuote. As a Co-Owner of Crawley Town Football Club, Maurice combines a passion for sports with investment acumen. Previously, Maurice was the Founder and CEO of FanVest, an event platform for the sports industry, and enjoyed a successful exit from Wine Connoisseur. Mauricio holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Babson College and a Master's Degree in Finance from Baruch College.
