Ryan Freed has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2011, they co-founded Picomize.com, where they successfully managed a team of web developers and attracted clients such as Davis Elen ad agency. From 2013 to 2014, Ryan worked as a Project Engineer/Super at Pride Builders, LLC, overseeing a $121 million apartment complex construction project and negotiating contracts. In 2014, they co-founded hOM Inc., a technology-enabled community management platform for office and multifamily landlords, which was later acquired by Hello Alfred. At hOM Inc., Ryan played a key role in growing the company, participating in proptech accelerators, and operating in over 300 properties across 24 markets. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Strategic Advisor at MeetElise, where they supported the team in building a lead generation and sales process and helped secure funding. In 2018, Ryan became an RE200 Mentor at MetaProp.vc. Ryan also worked as a Strategic Advisor for Radish Health in 2020 and served as a Consultant for Rocket Club, helping build their mentor network. Most recently, they joined Cottage in 2022 as an Investor and Strategic Advisor. Additionally, in 2020, Ryan founded The Founder Guides, a team of startup specialists who support and guide entrepreneurs in achieving product-market fit and operational excellence.

Ryan Freed completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business, with a focus on Entrepreneurial Management, from the University of Minnesota between 2008 and 2012. In 2012, they briefly attended Wirtschaft Universität, where they pursued studies in Business Administration and Management, but did not earn a degree.
