Satyajit Mitra serves as the Executive Director and Head of Oncology at Peak Bio Inc. since March 2022, having previously held the position of Director, Head of Oncology at the same organization from March 2019 to April 2022. With a strong background in oncology research, Satyajit has overseen ADC pipeline advancements and in vivo research activities at the company's US facilities. Prior roles include Associate Director of Cancer Biology, a Research Scientist at the University of Southern California where significant prognostic signatures for neuroblastoma were identified, and a Senior Scientist at VasGene Therapeutics focused on IND-enabling studies. Satyajit has also contributed to the development of monoclonal antibodies at OncoMed Pharmaceuticals and conducted postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute, where therapeutic targeting strategies for cancer were explored. Satyajit holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, along with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor’s in Microbiology.
