Douglas Koekkoek, MD, FACP, SFHM serves as the Chief Physician Executive at PeaceHealth since March 2021. Previously, Douglas held the role of System Chief Medical Officer for Physician Enterprise at Providence St. Joseph Health from January 2019 to March 2021, overseeing strategic alignment, quality, safety, and physician leadership for one of the largest medical groups in the country. Prior experience includes positions as Chief Executive of Clinical Services and Regional Chief Medical Officer at Providence Health & Services from 2010 to December 2018. Douglas Koekkoek earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biochemistry from the University of Oregon.
