Blair Jackson is an experienced professional in the mining industry, currently serving as General Manager at Peabody Energy since December 2004. In this role, Blair established a compliant and practical Safety Health Management System that significantly improved safety performance, while successfully transitioning the mine from a contractor operation to an owner operation, achieving the lowest cost per unit producer within the company. Previously, Blair held the position of Project Manager at Macmahon from March 1993 to December 2004, managing projects across various locations including Eaglefield Qld, Waihi NZ, Peak Hill NSW, and Brocks Creek NT. Blair holds an Engineering degree in Mining from Federation University Australia and attended Newington College in Sydney.
