Sara Kempin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 1989, they started as a Public Information Officer at the NC Department of Administration, where they organized and implemented numerous public forums, press conferences, and community information sessions. Sara also served as the primary media contact, preparing executives for interviews and establishing relationships with the media.
In 1996, Sara transitioned to the NC Department of Crime Control and Public Safety, initially working as a Public Information Officer. In this role, they played a key part in planning and executing public and media events to educate the public about health and safety issues. Sara also advised cabinet-level officials and developed strategies to promote public safety initiatives.
Sara's responsibilities expanded in 1998 when they became the Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the same department. In addition to advising officials and developing information campaigns, they supervised employees, particularly during natural disasters.
Most recently, in 2022, Sara joined PCLaw | Time Matters as an Office Assistant. Their role involved event planning, where they took full responsibility for organizing and advertising a year's worth of events across the US and Canada. Sara also managed employee engagement programs, recognizing staff achievements and managing gift platforms.
Throughout their career, Sara has demonstrated strong event planning skills, expertise in public affairs, and the ability to effectively engage with the media.
Sara Kempin earned their Bachelor's degree in Communications from North Carolina State University, where they attended from 1984 to 1988.
