Sara Habif Slogesky currently serves as a Magnet Theme Coach at CREC, focusing on Global Studies and Action Learning. With extensive experience in social studies education, Sara has held various roles, including National Faculty at PBLWorks and Social Studies Curriculum Specialist for South Windsor Public Schools, where oversight of K-12 curriculum was a key responsibility. Previous positions include Supervisor of Social Studies at Capitol Region Education Council and K-12 Social Studies Curriculum Specialist/Supervisor at CREC. Sara's teaching experience began at East Hartford Public Schools, where significant accomplishments included receiving the PTO/East Hartford High School Community Teacher of the Year Award. Sara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Virginia and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Connecticut.
