Karen Volkert

Chief Operations Officer at PayTech

Karen Volkert has over 15 years of experience in various leadership roles within PayTech. Karen started as a Project Manager in 2006 and worked their way up to become the Chief Operations Officer in May 2023. Before joining PayTech, Karen had extensive experience in managing HRIS and payroll functions at Janus from 1999 to 2005. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager/Consultant at CDG & Associates, where they managed HRIS/payroll system implementations for clients across the US. Karen began their career at Marriott International in 1985 as an HRIS Project Manager, overseeing the design, development, testing, and support for systems related to Human Resources. Throughout their career, Karen has demonstrated their expertise in strategic planning, project management, and client relationship management.

Karen Volkert attended Colorado State University from 1979 to 1983, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
