Raquel Buckley, JD, PhD, serves as Senior Patent Counsel and Head of Business Engagement at PayPal since September 2016, where management of the in-house IP team and fostering collaboration between business partners and IP counsel are key responsibilities. Previous positions include Patent Counsel at Polsinelli PC and Patent Attorney at Sheridan Ross P.C., both focusing on patent prosecution and related legal processes. Early career experience encompasses roles at Intel Corporation, including a Patent Strategy and Analysis Intern and Product Engineer, as well as a Systems Research Engineer at Motorola. Raquel Buckley holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, a Juris Doctor from The University of New Mexico, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
