John A. Gavin has worked in various roles since 1989. In 2016, they began working as a Sales Consultant for both PayJunction and Canadian Payment Services. At PayJunction, they were responsible for educating merchants on the Zero Touch Terminal's cloud-based SaaS platform and how to use it in their back office. At Canadian Payment Services, they identified leads of small and mid-sized businesses in need of emergency funding, built and maintained relationships with merchants, and qualified and submitted their financial statements for cash advances or short-term loans. Before 2016, John worked as a News Reporter for The Record from 1989. During their time there, they provided breaking news reports during and after Hurricane Sandy, interviewed business owners, and motivated readers to donate to people with debilitating illnesses and financial setbacks.

John A. Gavin attended Lumberton High School from 1963 to 1967. John A. then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism from Baruch College between 1977 and 1983.
