Maxim Ivanov has worked in various roles throughout their career. Maxim started off as an electrical engineering lab assistant at The Cooper Union from May 2009 to September 2010. Maxim then worked as a web developer at Apart Style from June 2011 to January 2012. Following that, they joined The Hackerati, Inc. as a software engineer from June 2012 to April 2014. From April 2014 to May 2021, they worked at The Huffington Post as a software engineer. Currently, they are employed at Paxos as a senior site reliability engineer starting from May 2021.

Maxim Ivanov pursued their undergraduate education from 2008 to 2012 at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Maxim earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering during this period.
