John Scharber is the CEO and founder of PavedRoad. John was previously the Chief Technology Officer at VidScale, Inc. and Edge Gravity by Ericsson. John has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry.

John Scharber began their career in technology with a focus on Content Distribution Networks (CDN). John quickly rose through the ranks to become the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of VidScale, Inc. In this role, they were responsible for growing the company from four to over 60 million dollars in revenue in just four years. John also worked closely with Ericsson on the development of their Unified Delivery Network (UDN).

In early 2018, VidScale, Inc. was acquired by Ericsson and John became the Chief Technology Officer/VP Engineering for Edge Gravity. In this role, they were responsible for connecting the UDN core infrastructure with over 100 edge locations around the world. John also worked across all business units to create a unified strategy for Ericsson.
