Leon T. Russell began their work experience in 2001 at Winter Construction as a Project Manager, a role they held for 13 years until 2014. Leon T. then joined Pattillo Construction Corporation, where they served as a Project Manager from October 2014 to August 2016. Leon T. later became the Director of Project Management at Pattillo Construction Corporation for four months, from December 2015 to August 2016. Finally, Leon was promoted to Vice President, Construction Operations at Pattillo Construction Corporation and held the position indefinitely from August 2016.

Leon T. Russell obtained their Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University, where they attended from 1997 to 2002.
