Shima Jahani is a Senior UX Designer at Patterson Companies, Inc. since October 2023, specializing in user research and design systems. Previously, Shima founded HarpA, a start-up for noise-canceling headphones, and led the development of a mobile app while securing two utility patents. As the UX Design/Research Lead for the National Science Foundation, Shima managed a grant project focused on safety headphone features for construction workers. Experience also includes instructing design principles at Purdue University and conducting impactful UX research at SAP, enhancing product accessibility. Shima's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction from Purdue University and a Master of Fine Arts in Industrial and Product Design from the University of Tehran.
