Mary M. (Patter) Gersuk has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. In 2017, they founded a company called Patterbar, which produces clean energy, plant-based bars made entirely from real, whole food ingredients. Prior to this, Mary worked as an Educator & Local Forager at Whole Foods Market from 2014 to 2015, where they trained employees, conducted orientations, and implemented educational programs. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Operations Manager at Twist Bakery & Cafe, where they managed various aspects of the cafe and bakery, established organizational structures, and implemented recipe standardization systems. Mary also owned and instructed at a cooking class business called Saveurs Maison from 2007 to 2010, where they developed menus, built a client base, and conducted weekly classes. Lastly, they worked as an Instructor at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in 2006, where they re-established and managed monthly cooking classes and established a partnership with Whole Foods Market.
Mary M. (Patter) Gersuk earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from Boston College, which they attended from 1974 to 1978. Mary M. (Patter) then pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at Columbia University from 1978 to 1980. Later, in 1998, they obtained a Certificate of Basic Cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu London.
