Sydney Ligouri has an extensive work experience in the field of design and education. Starting in 2010, Ligouri worked as an Artist's Assistant for Siri Berg Studio and later for Mark Fox Studio in 2012. In 2013, Ligouri worked as a Graphic Design Intern at Joey Cofone Studio and then as a Junior Visual Designer at Imagemme. Ligouri joined Perka as a Visual Designer in 2014 and worked there until 2016.

In 2016, Ligouri co-founded RookieUp and served as the Founding Product Designer and Creative Director until 2018. Ligouri also worked as a Digital Designer at Scholastic during the same period. In 2017, Ligouri joined Shillington Education as a Design Instructor and later became the Lead Design Instructor in 2019. From 2021 to 2022, Ligouri held the position of Head of Design Education at Shillington Education in New York.

Since 2013, Ligouri has also run a personal studio called Sydney Ligouri Studio, offering multi-disciplinary design and art direction services. The studio has designed websites, created product features and interfaces, developed brand identities, and executed social campaigns for various clients, including Global Edit, Maven Clinic, The Luupe, Society Nine, Daley Delivery, Shillington Education, Swarm NYC, and FirstData (now Clover).

Currently, Ligouri is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Path Unbound, an online design school that aims to make visual and UX/UI design education accessible to learners worldwide. The company offers flexible and affordable options for design education and focuses on providing a comprehensive visual design foundation. Path Unbound is an all-women, all-designer founded company that aims to empower creative thinkers, makers, and doers from diverse backgrounds.

Sydney Ligouri pursued their education from 2009 to 2013 at Parsons School of Design - The New School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Illustration.
