Der-Lin Chow began their career in 1997 as Chief of the Electronics Control Workshop at the 205th Arsenal. In 2002, they were promoted to the Director of the Material Supply Office at the same company. In 2018, they moved to Path Robotics as an Electrical Engineer.

Der-Lin Chow completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics from Case Western Reserve University between 2010 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Control from Case Western Reserve University between 1995 and 1997.
