Kammerle Schneider

Chief, Global Health Programs at PATH

Kammerle Schneider leads PATH’s health and technical programs, advancing PATH’s work to use analytics and insights to drive health innovation and equity. The Programs & Innovation division that Kammerle oversees is made up of disease specialists, data engineers, visualization experts, methodologists, statisticians, storytellers, researchers, and technologists working shoulder-to-shoulder with their in-country colleagues to solve some of the most vexing global health challenges.

Kammerle has been with PATH since 2011 when she joined PATH’s Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases program. She most recently served as the director of this program as well as PATH’s Center for Malaria Control and Elimination. In this role she helped build PATH’s malaria portfolio, adding new investors, and facilitating changes in policy, strategy, and systems that accelerated the introduction and scale-up of new tools and approaches for malaria burden reduction and elimination. She also led PATH’s work to eradicate 17 neglected tropical diseases, including onchocerciasis and soil-transmitted helminths.

Before joining PATH, Kammerle worked with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative where she managed policy research and advocacy activities to accelerate the development of, and future global access to, a preventive AIDS vaccine. She also served as the assistant director of the Global Health Program at the Council on Foreign Relations, starting her career in global health as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala.

Kammerle holds a master of international affairs degree from Columbia University and a bachelor of arts from the University of Washington.
